Florida Blue has announced a change in the General Agency alignment process.

Agencies and brokers wishing to select a new General Agency may request to do so any time during the year and will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

The following criteria will now guide the review and approval of all such GA change requests:

  • GA changes will only be considered if the agency has not changed GAs within the past 12 months.
  • Agencies must first communicate with their current GA regarding the reasons for requesting a change.
  • A strong business justification must be presented. (i.e. Why are you not able to grow your Florida Blue block with your current GA?)
