UnitedHealthcare has announced its fully insured plan updates for Q1 of 2026 in Florida.

Quoting will be available on or before October 1, 2025. Don't forget that Specialty Savings Promotions are still in effect through January 1, 2026, effective dates!

Marketing Materials/Forms:

  • Note that there are now two plan grids for each geographic location - One is used for new business and one is used for renewal business
  • SBCs and SOBs will be available on or before October 1, 2025

Plan/Portfolio Updates:

  • New medical and pharmacy plans in all metal levels to compete in the Florida market (i.e., higher deductible/out of pocket max, Rx Deductibles)
  • New Smart HSA 2.0 plans (no coinsurance after deductible for PCP/specialist visits, urgent care, and virtual visits)
  • $0 kids copay added to all non-HSA plans
  • Rx plans now have broader access via the National Pharmacy network - All formularies are open
  • Eliminated most complex place-of-service tiered plan designs
  • Expanded mammo and colonoscopy to cover all first diagnostic services, beyond the preventive care benefit (Scopic costs up to a $500 copay will not be subject to deductible/coinsurance on HSA-qualified plans; remaining diagnostic costs will be)
  • Added nutritional counseling and disease nutritional counseling benefits

In addition to the small group updates, UnitedHealthcare Florida has announced a new level funded portfolio with Neighborhood Health Plans. Surest and UHC level funded portfolios are receiving an update. Details are coming soon!
