As part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA), which was signed into law on December 27, 2020, health insurance issuers and group health plans are required to submit information about prescription drug and health care spending. This is referred to as the Prescription Drug Data Collection (RxDC) Reporting requirements.
Aetna has developed a process to submit the required prescription drug and health care spending reporting (RxDC) for both self-funded and insured customers with medical and pharmacy benefits through Aetna regardless of group size. Aetna will handling the reporting on behalf of your Small Group clients and there is nothing else for them to submit at this time.
The first report is 12/27/22 and beginning in 2023 the yearly reports will be due June 1 for the prior reference year.
