Aetna wants to make you aware that the negotiations between Aetna and Trinity Health are continuing for Commercial and Medicare Advantage plans in all states where Trinity participates. The contracts have a termination date of December 31, 2024.
States with Trinity Health provider terminations include CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, MA, MD, MI, NY (Upstate), OH, OR, PA. The termination includes ALL Trinity Health providers nationally including MercyOne in Iowa.
As the termination date is less than 30 days away, Aetna is preparing for termination while discussions with Trinity are continuing.
Member letters have been mailed to all Commercial and Medicare members notifying them of the potential termination:
- California: Mailed to Commercial members for member receipt within 5 days of the termination date (estimated mail date of 12/23/2024).
- Illinois: Mailed to Medicare members on/around 10/04/24 and to Commercial members on/around 10/28/24, in accordance with state regulations.
- Maryland: Mailed to Commercial and Medicare members on/around 10/04/24 in accordance with state regulations.
- New York: Will be mailed to Commercial members as soon as the state of NY approves the letters.
- Remaining states: Mailed on/around 11/13/24.
