Aetna has announced that it will be withdrawing all of its commercial fully insured medical plans offered to employers with 1 to 50 employees in FLorida. The withdrawal will be effective as of January 1, 2026.
Health insurance coverage for each of your fully insured small employer clients will end at midnight on the day before the renewal date, beginning with the January 1, 2026, renewals.
- Notices will be sent to impacted clients and their members 180 days prior to the non-renewal.
- New business can no longer be sold as of January 1, 2026.
- External quoting will no longer be available effective June 1, 2025.
- Renewals will continue to be produced and serviced as usual through December 15, 2025, renewal dates.
Aetna will continue to offer fully insured plans to employers with 51-100 eligible employees (Small Group Plus), and Aetna Funding Advantage℠ (AFA) plans to employers with 2 to 100 eligible employees. Aetna will also continue to offer standalone ancillary lines of coverage, including dental and vision products.
