UnitedHealthcare is offering simplified submissions and a broker bonus for moving your Cigna+Oscar business to them!
Simplified Underwriting and Submission Process
Only the following items will be required for new submissions for groups leaving Cigna+Oscar:
- Employer Group Application
- Copy of Cigna+Oscar bill (to confirm the group is coming from them)
- Participation Certification Form (for groups with 3+ enrolling employees) in lieu of the DE-9C. There are no payroll requirements for new hires.
- If the group is more than 50% out-of-state employees, underwriting approval is waived!
- If the group is wrapping with a staff model, including Kaiser, the requirement for 5+ California enrolling employees is waived! (However, there must be at least one enrolling employee in California, as well as four additional employees enrolled with UnitedHealthcare).
NOTE: Group installations with a staff model wrap cannot be written through SAMx if the group is requesting the simplified underwriting process. Please email the following items to Amwins Connect instead:- Prime Enrollment Spreadsheet
- Copy of the staff model invoice
- Product Benefit Selection Form
- Direct Debit Authorization or copy of the binder check
- Copy of quote for all sold plans

Broker Bonus
Brokers will receive $60 per enrolled subscriber (employee) for groups moving from Cigna+Oscar to UnitedHealthcare fully insured and level funded products. Brokers will receive $20 per enrolled subscriber for groups moving from Cigna+Oscar to UnitedHealthcare self-funded products.
