Over the past five years, the focus for EmblemHealth has been on technology, product, network, and population health transformation, proudly serving customers across the tri-state area. Thanks to their talented team, every aspect of the enterprise has been modernized.
In the past year, more time has been spent focusing on New York City and building on community efforts, including opening new Neighborhood Care locations to address health equity and the social barriers members face in accessing care. Through this work, EmblemHealth has recognized the ever-increasing role they play in building a future for health care in New York that best supports New Yorkers and their families. As a result, they are refocusing on their primary mission: to provide high-quality health plans and services to New Yorkers for years to come.
To support the future growth of their Connecticut health plan, ConnectiCare, EmblemHealth has agreed to sell ConnectiCare to Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE: MOH). This transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the first half of 2025.
For now, it’s business as usual. Provider networks are not changing; tri-state and national network access will continue to be offered.
