Health Coverage Tax Forms for Tax Year 2022 will not be mailed to Florida Blue members.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rules for the Health Coverage Tax Form 1095-B changed for tax year 2022, however, Florida Blue is still required to report our membership to the IRS and validate Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC). In addition, Florida Blue is required to obtain affirmative consent from members to view tax forms online. To do that, Florida Blue sent a postcard advising them to how to access the Form 1095-B directly from their Member Website. Even though Florida Blue and Truli for Health mailed the MA 1099-HC on January 31, 2023, those forms are also available on the member website.
Member Outreach Postcards started mailing earlier this week, so some group members may have received them. Members can view their tax forms in their member account.
Members can verbally request a copy to be emailed or mailed. Members can also send a request to 1095BReprint@floridablue.com for an emailed copy. If a member wants to view their form online, they will have to consent electronically on the member website. Florida Blue is required to obtain affirmative consent to furnish a statement online. The requirement to obtain affirmative consent to furnish a statement electronically ensures that statements are sent electronically only to individuals who are able to access them.
All forms were available on February 22, 2023.
