GeoBlue is pleased to announce benefit enhancements for expat plans effective July 1, 2025.
Xplorer Plan Changes
- Increased Rx Benefit. Benefit increased from $2,500 to $3,500
- Increased Physical Therapy Benefit. Number of visits increased from 12 to 20 per calendar year per member
Additionally, as of July 1, GeoBlue will begin requiring medical pre-certification for procedures done in the United States. Pre-certification, sometimes called pre-authorization, is arranged between the provider and GeoBlue, so members will not need to take any additional steps. However, they will gain peace of mind knowing that their care is covered beforehand and that there will be no surprise bills. Pre-certification does not apply to care received outside of the United States, but as always, GeoBlue encourages members to request a GOP through the member portal.
