Health Net reports a statewide quarterly rate change average of -0.4% for full HMO plans and -1.0% for limited HMO and HSP plans. Their PPOs have a rate pass. Health Net is rolling out two new HMO plans in Q3: The Platinum $30 HMO and the Gold $35 HMO. The plans will span across full, WholeCare, SmartCare and Salud HMO y Más networks.
The HMOs offer rich benefits with flat-dollar copays for inpatient care with no co-insurance. Health Net is a good fit for groups with PEOs and groups that are willing to pay a little more for richer benefits. Adding Gold $35 and Platinum $30 will offer employers even more price points in the Enhanced Choice and Enhanced Care PPO portfolios.
Heal is another exciting benefit that Health Net is rolling out to PPO members. On-demand doctor house calls will be available to PPO members through Heal beginning in May. Appointments are available 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week. Heal offers members in select urban areas a more convenient option for non-emergency situations. Examples of Heal appointments include vaccinations, lactation services, well child exams, primary care visits, flu shots, sprains, ear infections and more.
