Health Net introduces smoother selling effective January 1, 2022.
- They are changing the out-of-state maximum requirement from 49% of ‘enrolled’ and ‘eligible’ employees to just 49% of ‘eligible’ employees.
- Health Net is removing group size distinction for startup guidelines, making it easier than ever to do business. Now, startup guidelines are 4 weeks of payroll, with 2 weeks prior to effective date, regardless of group size.

Sell HMO with 6 Promo
- Mix and match any HMO plans + Full Network PPO Bronze plans
- Must have 6 active subscribers.
- No DE-9C, participation attestation, or prior carrier bill will be required.
- No minimum participation requirement. Waivers are not required unless sold alongside Life or Employer Paid Dental/Vision.
- No HSP, Full Network PPO (Platinum, Gold, or Silver tiers) or EnhancedCare PPO.
- New HMO sales only
Enhanced Choice A Promo
- May only offer Enhanced Choice A package.
- Groups with 5+ active subscribers: No DE-9C or prior carrier bill will be required. Waivers required.
- Available to groups with a minimum of 5 enrolling employees, 5 active subscribers or 25% participation, whichever is greater.
Enhanced Choice B Promo
- May only offer Enhanced Choice B package.
- Groups with 5+ active subscribers: No DE-9C or prior carrier bill will be required. Waivers required.
- Available to groups with a minimum of 5 enrolling employees, 5 active subscribers or 25% participation, whichever is greater.
