Humana 2023 Producer Partnership Plan

Humana is excited to let you know the 2023 Producer Partnership Plan for group insurance producers is now available.

What’s new for bonuses and commissions?

• Specialty Growth Bonus: When you renew Humana specialty lines of coverage with clients that currently have a medical line of coverage, Humana will give you new business points for each specialty line renewed* and still count those renewed lines in your premium persistency calculation in your Specialty Growth Bonus payment.


• Leaders Club Program: The Go365^® Engagement components of the Leaders Club Program have been removed for the 2023 plan year. Maximize your chance to qualify by focusing on new sales, especially on larger groups, where as few as three medical or specialty sales could qualify you.


• Commissions: Fully insured small group commission rates and Level Funded Premium base compensation rates for 2023 were previously communicated on October 6, 2022 and have not changed. These rates are also included in the 2023 Producer Partnership Plan.

* The new business points replace the inforce points for specialty lines renewed on cases with a medical line of coverage in force as of the date prior to the plan anniversary, pushing you even closer to your next Compensation Level – Enhanced, Premier or Elite.

What remains the same for 2023?

• Medical growth bonus: Humana is once again offering separate qualification criteria and payment schedules for large group and small group business segments with no changes from the 2022 criteria. They are also again offering the Bonus Growth Multipliers for both small business and large group opportunities, the New Cases Multiplier for large group opportunities, and the New qualifier for the small group opportunity, which allows you to qualify for the small group opportunity simply by increasing your qualifying in-force case count by five cases compared to the prior quarter if you’re not able to meet the 26-case minimum. The multipliers give you even more earning opportunities when you sell both small and large group business!


• Small business group medical base commission tier production requirements: The eighth consecutive year without an increase in the thresholds that determine your medical base commission tier!


• Group specialty and group Medicare base commissions.
