MediExcel Announces Q4 Carrier Update

MediExcel announces 2024 Q4 updates and releases their Q4 Update Flyer.

MediExcel is excited to bring you the latest updates for Q4 2024, packed with new offerings and enhancements designed to deliver more value and convenience to their members. 

Here’s what’s new and noteworthy:

Health Plan Highlights 

  1. Q3/Q4 Rate Pass: There’s no rate increase for these quarters, ensuring stability for your clients. 
  2. Simplified Enrollment: No DE9C required when enrolling five or more employees, streamlining the process for group plans. 
  3. Expanded Acceptance: MediExcel will now accept one employee on the Platinum 90 and Gold 80 plans, providing more flexibility. 
  4. Exclusive Dependent Only Coverage: This offering is available now, catering to a broader range of member needs.

New Partnerships & Services

  • Marque Urgent Care Expansion: Four new convenient locations have been added—Eastlake, Grossmont, Pacific Beach, and UTC. Additionally, a new location is coming soon in Chula Vista, right across from Sharp Hospital.
  • YMCA of San Diego County Partnership: Starting August 1, 2024, MediExcel members can join the YMCA with a waived $60 joining fee, promoting healthier lifestyles.  

 Sales and Support Updates 

  • New Sales Contacts: 
    • Clementina Arriaga: Sales Manager 
    • Cristina Mendiola: Sales Support Supervisor 
  • MediExcel Offering Facility Tours: Facility update tours will be available every Wednesday and Thursday starting August 1, 2024. This is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with MediExcel services and offerings. 
  • MediExcel is considered a valid waiver with most U.S. carriers, enhancing their competitive edge. 

MediExcel Dental & Vision Enhancements 

  • Flexible Dental & Vision Policies: These can be added to group policies at any time. 
  • Standalone Dental Policy Option: Dental coverage can be sold independently, offering more choices to your clients. 
  • Orthodontic Benefits: The Dental D200 includes orthodontic benefits, a valuable addition for families. 
  • Voluntary Vision Coverage: Vision plans can be sold as voluntary benefits, with medical enrollment required for the V100 plan, which offers LASIK for both eyes at $1,800 for eligible members. 

Looking Ahead: Q1 2025 Preview 

  • New SG Policies: The P5/P10 Platinum HMOs will require five employees, enhancing plan structure and support.  
  • Random Recertification for Existing Clients: For MediExcel to ensure compliance and quality, existing clients may undergo random recertification upon renewal. 

These updates reflect MediExcel's ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare options.
