MetLife & U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Index for 2024 is now available.
Helping drive this continued optimism among small businesses are bullish expectations for future revenue and upbeat plans for next year’s headcount. Seventy-three percent of small business owners expect next year’s revenue to increase.
This report eyes the upcoming election:
- 71% of small businesses say they are more interested in the 2024 election than the previous presidential election.
- 78% of small businesses say that the economy and inflation should be the first or second most important priority for the next Congress and presidential administration.
- 84% of small business owners feel that partisan gridlock is a serious problem in the federal government.
