MetLife Southern California Wildfire Support

MetLife is supporting their groups during the Southern California fires.

Groups with EAP: 

MetLife understands that you and your Groups may be impacted by the devastating Wildfires. MetLife’s EAP and Grief Counseling vendor, TELUS Health, has resources available for you and your groups to provide emotional support and referrals for community resources that may help during this time. 

Please consider sharing the below with your Groups: 

MetLife’s EAP and Grief Counseling services can help. Reach out to TELUS Health anytime by calling 1-888-319-7819 for guidance, emotional support, and additional resources. 

Please also visit the EAP website at one.telushealth.com (user name: metlifeeap; password: eap). 

For Grief Counseling, please visit one.telushealth.com (user name: metlifeassist password: support). 

In addition, TELUS Health has opened its 24/7 crisis hotline for you and your family members who may be impacted by the California fires. The Crisis Hotline is available by calling: 1-877-757-7587. Callers will receive professional emotional support and/or referrals to community resources. 

Groups Met Legal: 

MetLife Legal Plans is activating the Emergency Response Legal Assistance Plan. This offers free attorney document review and consultation for current Legal Plan customers with employees who are not enrolled in the legal plan and may be impacted by the wildfires in California. Network attorneys can provide document review and consultations for many issues, at no cost, through the Emergency Response Legal Assistance. These include:

  • Reviewing documents related to federal aid and insurance claims
  • Providing consultation for identity theft issues due to lost personal documents
  • Answering questions about damaged property for renters or homeowners
  • Providing advice on dealing with creditors and bill collectors

The Emergency Response Legal Assistance Plan is available to all legal plan customers at no cost and the employee does not have to be enrolled in the plan. This plan will be in place through March 31, 2025.
