Principal Offers Flexibility Amid COVID-19

Principal is offering much-needed flexibility in response to COVID-19 including a 60-day grace period for premium payments. Also, members who are laid off or have reduced hours (deeming them no longer eligible) can continue with active coverage through the end of May as the employer continues to pay the premium. All renewals under 500 lives for May through August will receive no increases. Further, Principal is encouraging members to call their Employee Assistance Program at (800) 450-1327 for a confidential phone consultation with a therapist. Principal has also released their COVID-19 FAQs.
