UnitedHealthcare and Providence Health (Providence) have reached a multi-year agreement that ensures UnitedHealthcare’s members enrolled in employer-sponsored and individual commercial plans, as well as Medicare Advantage PPO and Group Retiree PPO plans, have uninterrupted access to Providence's physicians, facilities and hospitals in California. Medicare Advantage members assigned to Providence under Medicare HMO capitated plans will also remain in-network.
The priority is to ensure that members have access to the care they need through a robust network of physicians and facilities.
Letters are being mailed to impacted members informing them of the renewed relationship with Providence, and that Providence’s facilities, hospitals and physicians will remain in the network.
