Sutter Health Plan wants to share a leadership update. After over a decade of service with Sutter Health Plan, Rob Carnaroli, Vice President of Sales, has decided to leave the organization to pursue other opportunities. His last day at Sutter is August 8.
Rob joined Sutter Health Plan in 2014, bringing deep experience from leadership roles at Health Net where he managed key accounts across the Western U.S. and led strategic initiatives including CalPERS and private exchange development. At Sutter, Rob played an integral role in launching and scaling the health plan — growing it from just a few thousand members into a trusted option for more than 120,000 members across Northern California. His strong relationships, strategic acumen, and unwavering commitment to service have shaped who Sutter is today. Sutter is deeply grateful for his many contributions.
Moving forward, the executive contact at Sutter Health Plan will be Pete Bergamo, Chief Growth Officer. Pete leads the health plan’s product, market positioning, sales, growth, and retention strategies. He previously served as the health plan’s Interim CEO and prior to that as Vice President of Operations, where he drove initiatives focused on strategic growth and operational excellence. Before joining the health plan, Pete held key roles within Sutter Health’s system strategy and business development team. He has more than 20 years in healthcare and financial services, including roles at UCLA Health and PwC.
Sutter is actively investing in expanding care options across the region. More than two dozen new ambulatory care centers are opening, and additional physicians are joining Sutter’s network — reducing waiting times, improving convenience and bringing care closer to home. Sutter is dedicated to delivering a patient-centered approach, focusing on the individual needs and preferences of each patient to ensure a personalized healthcare experience.
