The National Emergency is Over (Or is it?)
President Biden signed the legislation on Monday, April 10, 2023 officially ending the National Emergency.
The webinar will revisit some of the conversations from previous weeks, including new examples tied to actual dates based on the Emergency ending April 10th. This information will assist brokers and their clients prepare for the end of the Outbreak Period and a return to business as usual.
Just a note! The Department of Labor and the Department of the Treasury are staying with guidance that was issued on March 29, 2023. The FAQs in this guidance states the National Emergency and the Public Health Emergency had been set to expire on May 11, 2023. The agencies have clarified that they intend to continue to use May 11 and not April 10 as the ending date. Hopefully more guidance will soon be released.
