As we get closer to the deadline, you are probably receiving questions from your clients asking you what the carriers are doing or what are they not doing in order to report the required RxDC information. The upcoming deadline is the third round of reporting and all group health plans must submit the required employer sponsored plan and prescription drug information for calendar year 2023 to CMS by June 1, 2024.

All employer-sponsored medical plans, whether fully insured or self-insured (and regardless of size or grandfathered status), are subject to the annual prescription drug and health care spending data submission requirements under Section 204 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (“CAA”). This requirement is commonly referred to as the Prescription Drug Data Collection (RxDC).
