July 1, 2021, will mark the fifth service area expansion for Sutter Health Plus, offering coverage for two new ZIP codes in Nevada County and five new ZIP codes in Placer County effective July 1, 2021. The expansion gives employers and consumers in the expanded service area a new option for healthcare coverage with access to Sutter-affiliated providers.
Expanding our footprint offers additional access to coverage for individuals in the region who live or work in Placer and Nevada counties, including a wider Auburn area, Grass Valley, and Pleasant Grove. Additionally, it gives employers and consumers in the expanded service area a new option for healthcare coverage with access to Sutter-affiliated providers.
As of July 1, 2021, Sutter Health Plus will serve approximately 100,000 members in 16 Northern California counties—from the Northern California foothills and the State Capitol to Silicon Valley and Santa Cruz—and includes 29 hospitals and campuses, more than 1,500 PCPs, 5,300 specialists, and many other healthcare providers, hundreds of conveniently located facilities, and dozens of urgent care centers and Sutter Walk-In Care locations. Members enjoy convenient features such as access to virtual care, a 24/7 nurse advice line, pharmacy home delivery, an online patient portal, and a single number to call for care and coverage needs.
